Live Chat - Livezilla
Live Chat, Live Help, Live Support, there are many words for the one thing I needed. I wanted to be able to support the paying customers I've got both through email like service (which is the case if I'm not online), but also in a "right now" kind of manner, handson in a chat-function if you will.
Ok, I was in search for something easy to use and maintain, both for me as an operator, but also for the user. I tried numerous software and services. The closest I got to anything similar to what I wanted was chat4support, but that service was on their server and it was only possible to use all features for 15 days... Then the free tryout time was over. Still useable, but not as I wanted it nor not possible to personiliaze.
Somehow I got my eye's on LiveZilla and read about it. Downloaded it and tried it out. I fell in love at once. You download your own server side client aswell as a local operator client (which of course is downloadable for others that is intended to operate your Live Help when you're not there), and the install is made in three simple steps. Upload, make settings, and include script in index.php... And you're off.
If you are in fact in need of anything like this, I urge you to tryout LiveZilla...

Patric, I couldn't agree with you more about LiveZilla as a stellar, FREE, fully-functioned resource available to all coding-capable webmasters. The learning curve for installation is no greater than that of sNews (of which I have 1.7 - single user), but is a little tricky to get in. I made my initial installation perfectly, but then was in doubt as to a few parameters, so I uninstalled and then got lost for 4-5 hrs with little snags and whatnot before I realized that the reason the install wasn't taking was because I'd pointed the databases away from the C:\ folder. Other than that, it's pretty awesome to actually see people coming through your site with the help of the Google Maps geolocation system and is far more reliable than just depending on the stats generated from Google Analytics (which I feel slows down my sites' functionality and generally disable it). I can't believe that a program of thios power and caliber (like sNews) are open-source and $0 - as soon as the creators hook enough people, I'm sure a paid program with even more berzerk features will be debuted (and I might just pay). I went through at least a dozen of these type of programs (Crafty Syntax/Live Help/etc.),before I stumbled on this in some forum (no, I don't remember which one - sorry).
