Now the sNews 1.6 is released and have been for a week or two, and no particular bugs have been discovered, which is reward enough for those whom have developed this version. I think we all owe them a big old "thank ya very much" to say the least.

Now these templates are based on a modded snews copy. However, if you do like the design and layout of a design it's fairly easy to use the css and index.php with a default snews.php. But as mentioned, these ready to go packages, are based on mentioned modded snews.php.
